City of Newcastle Parks

The City of Newcastle maintains seven city parks for public use which are maintained and operated by the public works department:

  • Roby Park in the Saddle Subdivision

  • Dow Park on Main Street (with playground facilities, basketball courts and large grassy areas)

  • Centennial Park (with new playground facilities and a Memorial Tree Lane

  • Washington Park off Washington Blvd (with skate park facilities)

  • Railroad Park near downtown (with picnic facilities)

  • Girl Scout Park near downtown (with benches and viewing opportunities)

  • Main Street Park (sits at the top of Main Street with a great view of downtown)

  • Bill Kohlbrand Arboretum
